Modern Day Slavery

People trafficking can be expressed as modern-day slavery. There are more slaves today than there were at the height of the slave trade. Therefore, this initiative was where we were used public information campaigns and other methods to raise public awareness of this issue. Public communication campaigns for victims were done to address basic human rights, norms and spread awareness to the victims that human trafficking is a crime, that they are being victimized, and that they can seek legal protection.

To discuss this globally affected problem, we invited an international panel of experts regarding human trafficking. Mr. Bill Woolf, Ms. Kezban Yagci Sokat, Mr. John Kapitzke, and Mr. Aritha Wickramasinghe. More than 180 participants were registered for the Webinar, and all participants were joining from various countries.

The initiative is a collaborative effort by the Rotaract Club of Madhyapur Nepal (RID3932) and the Roads to Right organization.

360° - Rotaract Culture Coaster

360° Culture Coaster unites individuals from diverse cultures together in terms of social behavior, religion, knowledge, and language, among many other aspects. This is the concept of a positive transformation. Cultural harmony and understanding teach us to accept and appreciate the moral-cultural behavioral patterns of others. They may be dissimilar; in fact, they are frequently antagonistic; nonetheless, the solution to any conflict is cultural harmony.

We established new friendships with three different international clubs throughout our culture coaster.

We were able to discuss our diverse cultures and comprehend one another’s cultural backgrounds, religions, festivals, languages, and many other things through our discussions.
