සිහින දකින සිනහවන් is a project focused on children with special needs, which was held on the 24th of September 2022. The main purpose of this project is to foster an image in the society, that no matter one’s culture, creed, or an appearance we should treat each other equally and with respect.
We selected Surasa Home – Moratuwa to spend a day with us, outside the walls of the orphanage.
ලිன்k
The Community Service Avenue of the club is organizing a project named ‘ලිன்k’ which is a psychological educational programme that mainly focuses on mending the attitude of the individuals who use factors of language as a tool to create division within the community. Language has become a critical factor that creates prodigious walls between people who would love to communicate yet would fear because of the discrimination based on the language they are using or may be their less accuracy towards it.
To mend or rather recalibrate the above-mentioned situation, the Rotaract Club of NIBM kindly invites you to join hands with us and participate project named ‘ලිன்k’.
Project Piyaman (Together SL)
A cluster initiative to develop the Maabima Vidyaakara Maha Vidyalaya located at Makewita, Gampaha by the Rotaract Clubs of Achievers Business Lanka School, Australian College of Business and Technology, APIIT, Colombo Metropolitan, Imperial College of Business Studies, NIBM, Pearl Island, Royal Institute of Colombo and University of Colombo, Faculty of Arts.
Renovation, English Seminar and Shramadana has been conducted during the year of 2023 both professionally and financially to increase the performance and status of the school.
Piyaman
Project PIYAMAN is a collaborative initiative by 9 Rotaract Clubs aimed at improving the performance of a school in Mabima. The project focuses on repairing and upgrading school facilities, as well as enhancing English language education through a new approach. The first phase included an English seminar to address low pass rates and a Shramadana for cleanliness improvement. The successful completion of this phase was in January 2023. The second phase involves classroom renovations, including repairing partitions, damaged floors, and repainting. This phase will commence after February.
Glimpse of Happines
The Project ‘Glimpse of Happiness’ was executed on the 20th of December 2022 and was
productively completed with the help of the general members of the Rotaract Club of NIBM at
ALOKA WADIHITI NIWASAYA, Pinwaththa- Panadura. The project objective was to do a
Shramadanaya and spend quality time with the elders and make themselves happy.
