INDO- LANKA CULTURE FUSION
The International Service Avenue of the Rotaract Club of NIBM collaborated with the Rotaract Club of
Mumbai Sky City on February 6th for a virtual project via Google Meet. The INDO- LANKA CULTURE
FUSION project involved creating a travel guide and PowerPoint presentation showcasing the mother
country’s festivals, clothing, foods, and cultural aspects. This initiative aimed to foster cultural
exchange and mutual understanding between the two countries. The project provided valuable
insights for tourists, offering information on the country’s culture, popular destinations,
accommodation options, transportation methods, and local rituals.





Vastradaan
The primary aim of Project Vastradaan was to foster collaboration and extend a helping hand to those in
need. Initiated by the Rotaract Clubs of COORG Institute of Technology, Chandigarh Midtown, Soaring
Monks, and NIBM, the project sought to create a positive impact by collecting and distributing clothes to
individuals facing economic challenges. The goal was not only to address a tangible need within the
community but also to strengthen the bonds of collaboration among the participating Rotaract Clubs.
Through the collective effort, the project aimed to bring warmth, joy, and a sense of unity to those who
received the donated clothing items. The successful execution of Vastradaan reflects the clubs’ commitment
to service and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.


PACT 4 RIGHTS
Pact4Rights, was a project aimed at promoting awareness of diverse human rights laws,
strategies for advocacy, and insights into relevant institutions, was conducted by Ms. H.R.
Chiranthi. an advocate for development justice and governance, as well as the founder of Hype
Sri Lanka, the session was conducted via Google Meet. Ms. Chiranthi encouraged the
members to share their knowledge by actively involving them. She answered questions
thoroughly, going into great detail and offering thorough explanations. She used her time
skillfully to provide a thorough overview of the legal system, the rights we possess, various
rules that are unique to countries as well as clarifying instances of cans and cannots and
highlighting the importance of the law as well as discussing the new issues that are prevailing
in the world, and how human rights are being applied. Thanks to Ms. Chiranthi’s knowledge
and engaging attitude, the session became an opportunity to learn about the urgent concerns
surrounding human rights as well as how they operate on a worldwide scale. We had an
average of 50+ participants participating from both Sri Lanka as well as India.


CULTURE COASTER
Culture Coaster, a collaborative initiative by the Rotaract Club of NIBM and the Rotaract Club of
Kenyatta University, was held via Google Meet on April 8, 2024, with over 45 participants. This event
was designed to deepen our understanding of each other’s cultures and traditions, with the main
objective of fostering connections beyond borders. he participants had an enriching experience,
engaging in vibrant discussions about their respective cultures. We had the pleasure of learning a few
Kenyan words, as well as gaining insights into Kenyan cuisine and tribal traditions. The project offered
a detailed look at each country’s festivals, clothing, food, and cultural practices. It was a wonderful
opportunity to celebrate our unique traditions and create lasting connections among the participants
from a different part of the world.
