KILL ZONE

The “Kill Zone” project challenges a person’s leadership, strategic planning and teamwork abilities
when faced in a situation that requires the person to use his or her abilities to the limit. This is the first
time the club has implemented this project and has marked it presence for the future. The
chairpersons for the project were Rtr. Ahamed Rafique and Mubashir Umar. The project was initiated
on the 11th of February 2024 combining with Sports Avenue of Rotaract club of NIBM.
This is a project that involves a tournament with two teams consisting five members per team for a
match. The objective of the match is to win by eliminating the opposing team’s members or securing
in taking over their flag before the time run out. If the time were to run out and none of the objectives
have been met, then the team that has the most members alive are chosen as the winners.

CLUB OFFICAL WEAR

The “Club Official-Wear” project holds significant importance as it aims to instill a sense of pride and
joy among committed club members when representing their club at official events. This project has
been successfully implemented in previous years, ensuring that the members have access to
appropriate attire. The Chairpersons for the project were Rtr. Ahamed Rafique, Rtr. Mubashir Umar
and Rtr. Arquam Roshan. The most recent implementation of this project occurred on the 20th of June
2023, introducing several new elements to enhance the club’s image and members’ representation.
In the most recent implementation, the T-shirts received a modern design overhaul, aligning with the
club’s theme colors, which are Purple and White. The T-shirts now prominently feature the club’s
emblem on the front and the club motto, ‘Service Above Self,’ on the back. These design
enhancements make the T-shirts unique and presentable, reinforcing the club’s identity and values.
The project’s latest implementation, with its innovative design and emphasis on identity, sets a
precedent for future editions. The club may consider further enhancements, collaborations, or
engagement with sponsors to support the initiative and ensure its continued success.
In summary, the “Club Official-Wear” project is an essential part of the club’s activities, emphasizing
the importance of pride and joy in representing the club at official events. Through effective
leadership and innovative design, it has successfully strengthened the club’s identity and contributed
to a sense of belonging and unity among its members. The project’s historical significance and the
recent improvements ensure that it remains a vital aspect of the club’s operations in the future.

RACIFTHAR

As we approached the month of Ramadhan, we took the initiative to organize an iftar for our fellow rotaractors disregard their religious backgrounds. This was organized as an event to promote unity and coordination among the members and learn one of the religious duties of the Muslim community. This was conducted as a joint project with the Rotaract club of Colombo Port City. Ther chairpersons for the project were Rtr. Ahamed Rafique, Rtr. Mubashir Umar and Rtr. Randima Fernando.
